rjf99 Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 (edited) I have inherited a small deployment of iPads managed by the Mosyle MDM. I have used Lightspeed and Meraki SM a extensively in the past, but never Mosyle. I would welcome any opinions of Mosyle, either good bad or indifferent. Initially I missed the tech support (always found Lightspeed in particular to be excellent), but now that I am over most of the initial teething problems, it’s not such an issue. The school isn’t paying for the premium tier, so at the moment it is hard to argue with the price. I miss the smooth interface of Meraki, and Mosyle feels a little slow at times to update info about devices. But none of these feel big enough to make the case for paying for a different product. Would really welcome opinions from admins who have been using it longer, or have bigger deployments. I’m intrigued about how well the free version scales. Edited February 24, 2022 by rjf99
Aprice Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 Love Mosyle, Used it to manage thousands of iPads all on the free plan. Maybe takes a bit of getting used to, but its quite simple really. PM me if you want a bit more of a chat about how we used it. Alex 1
DalekSec Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Don't have any issues with them, used them for last 4 or so years and have mainly been set and forget! If i ever have any issues their support has always been top notch! Use them for iPads, Macs and TVs! Not iPhones though as has found the client drains the battery fast. 1
kidpressingbuttons Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Love Mosyle- have used it across lots of sites and always found it very reliable 1
Ditto Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Never used it, but every bit of feedback I've heard matches the last three posts. 1
dapaulio Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 We began playing and using in tune as part of MS endpoint management. Initial assessment is good. Takes a little to get your head around but once you done different tasks a few times it practically runs itself. Personally I like it as a good alternative to Meraki having used that for many years prior 1
rjf99 Posted February 28, 2022 Author Posted February 28, 2022 Thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply. It was exactly the sort of message about Mosyle that I was hoping to hear. @Aprice I will most likely take you up on that offer - thanks.
