Preston School Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable and organised apprentice IT technician. Ideally the successful candidate will already have some IT experience.

The post holder will be responsible for providing 1st line support to end users as well as helping to maintain and deliver IT services.

The post holder must:

Experience in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office products.

Be proficient in the use of PC hardware, software and associated peripherals.

Be able to demonstrate a level of diagnostic skill.

Have an excellent ‘customer facing’ demeanour and communication skills.

Have the ability to confidently work with end users of varying technical abilities.

Part of the package that will be offered to the successful candidates is to provide the resources to undertake a professional IT qualification that will run alongside the IT apprentice college course. It is our aim, that in addition the wealth of experience you’ll gain from working in a dynamic environment, that by the end of the 2 years you would have completed and passed the college course, and be well on the way to attaining a professionally recognised qualification.
