CHiLL Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Microsoft are set to buy Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion, including games such as Call of Duty, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Candy Crush and Star Craft. https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2022/01/18/welcoming-activision-blizzard-to-microsoft-gaming/ Maybe this is the beginning of the end for Bobby Kotic.
RLR Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Current share price is $65 dollars but they're paying $95 dollars per share.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 First Bethesda, now Activision. Game pass is getting better and better! 1
paulkerton Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 It's in cash too. No share deals or anything. He'll keep running it till the acquistion deal is done, but I give it a matter of weeks after the acquisition is complete before Bobby Kotick is sent into the sunset. The press release statement and having pronouns on the management structure is very much pointed at Kotick and his current regime. A workdplace culture comes from the top.
mikester1980 Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 It all ends up in China's pocket eventually.
