Google lose patent battle with Sonos

You'd think they'd be able to either 1) write their own code or 2) pay to use someone else's but the final ruling by the US International Trade Commission has confirmed that Google infringed on five of Sonos’ patents. Google's response is to remove functionality from the affected devices. Essentially speaker groups don't work properly any more
