I had some free time today and thought I'd bench my Ryzen 5 and there seems to be an issue. I've not seen a google post on poor multicore benchmarking...

anyhow here is a link to the CPU-Z score...

https://valid.x86.fr/9xmmcm

as you can see the multithread score is borked... when the test it running it'll shoot to 4000+ then slam down to this puny score... Ideas?

EDIT: the CPU speed drops to just 0.39 Ghz when testing.. the GPU temp (which is on the same die) is only at 30c

I checked thermals with HWINFO never spiked horribly, also the temp is now still fine that I've locked the ratio to 44.

it's a little complicated the power and thermal boost limits on AMD. I'd prefer to have it at stock settings and working properly.

If i remember correctly there is a power profile that needs to be set. Ryzen balanced or something its under the power settings. Try this.

Thanks, I tried it and I get the same result :( The CPU clocks down to 0.39Ghz when the multicore test hits it....

I've checked for a BIOS update and there is one but it doesn't list a boost fix or improvement.
