BonnyArmadillo Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 Keep seeing random users unable to open office applications- just says "Sorry, we couldn't open '\\serveraddress\folder\folder\folder\filename.xlsx'. Has anyone seen this before? We find normally this is windows updates but this is now happen far to frequently.

Are they browsing a shared drive and clicking on a filename in an explorer window or are they navigating to it/opening it from within the application itself whilst open? When this happens do they have the same problem if they try to open a local file on their computer?

BonnyArmadillo Posted January 7, 2022 Author Posted January 7, 2022 Ok from what I can see the only way to resolve this is by removing the profile from the machine- this should happen at logoff but does not as its a mandatory profile. Only happening on odd machines weirdly
