Senior Network Technician

Pay Scale: H6 (SCP 14 – 19 (£23,080 - £25,481)

Hours: 8.00am until 4.00pm (37 hours per week)

Weeks: 52 Weeks per year

Ridgeway Academy is a member of the Alban Academies Trust (AAT), together with Sandringham, Verulam, Garden Fields JMI, Wheatfields Junior and Wheatfields Infants’ and Nursery schools. A Senior Network technician is required to join the ICT team at Ridgeway Academy to work full time (52 weeks) to provide first line IT support services to students and staff on school related IT, supporting teaching and learning by maintaining IT hardware and ensure the efficient running of all computers throughout the school. Whilst the position is based at Ridgeway Academy, you will be working with a team of highly skilled ICT Technicians and Managers across the Trust.

Essential skills are an understanding of:

  • Latest Windows versions
  • Windows server
  • SCCM
  • Google Apps for education and Google Administration
  • Ability to install and configure network switches, print servers
  • Wireless networking
  • Active Directory and group policies
  • Network Security
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Adobe suite
  • Hyper-V
