Recommendations for CAD fashion software

I'm looking for recommendations for free or low cost CAD software which we could use with fashion students, so they can modify a design then see it on a virtual mannequin. Thanks!

You and I have different definitions of low cost. That is $225/seat/year, assuming the education pricing is the same as the 50% student discount.

 

We've already found Marvelous Designer, but that's even more!

That certainly looks like what the teacher is after, I'm cautious about something which doesn't tell you the cost though, and you know the saying, "if you need to ask, you can't afford it". The recommended spec is insane, too (i9 liquid-cooled CPU, 32GB RAM and 2TB HDD!) so I think this might also be out of our league.
