Do SIMS clients need access to the Solus repository folder?

Got an issue where one update will not download properly and I read in another post that someone fixed the issue by moving the repository folder to a new location.

 

Currently its in the SIMS folder which clients have access to via the S Drive.

 

Do clients actually need access to the Solus_repository folder or is it just Solus3 that needs to access this folder?
