Epson H281B projector not unlocking

Hi,

 

I have an Epson H281B projector which is asking for an unlock code (after a power cut).

The code should be 1793, but the projector just won't register the 7! Have tried a number of Epson remotes, none work. The other number are accepted without a problem.

Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Try holding the num button whilst entering the numbers.

Have you tried 0000 for the password?

I used to work in a school with the old, bright orange Epson projectors and they had that password.

Found the following key sequence

 

Menu, Colour mode, Aspect, ESC

 

worked. This was on a remote from a newer Epson projector (original remote is lost).
