Theldron Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Hi all, Hope you are well. We have a Paxton mag door system and using Net Access 2 with a Paxton card reader to register cards. The server the net access is on is a VM on Hyper-V but I cannot see if I can passthrough the USB card reader to the VM. Is this possible? Thanks
SpaceInvader83 Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 We just install the Net2 client on a few workstations , then you can use your card reader locally. 1
MatthewL Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Just install the client on your PC and point it to the server and use the card reader locally. 1

Hi Spaceinvader thanks for that, how do you deal with the database, do you share it somehow? Edit: I didn't see the link you posted thanks. Will look through that. So it sounds like you've already installed it on a server, the client literally just allows you to administer the server install, run the net2 installer on say your workstation, when installing just choose the Net2 Client option, when you first run it enter the IP or hostname of your Paxton server, login with the same credentials and you should be good to go.
