TwistedHelixis Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 (edited) The Geo worked for a few weeks and then doesn't turn on. Is it normal to pay the return delivery costs of a new faulty item to get fixed? Edited November 17, 2021 by TwistedHelixis
DavR Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 I can't say that I've paid for return carriage on anything we have here, usually they'll send over a courier label or something for collection, at their cost. I have had to pay to return consumer items at home though, so I don't think there are hard rules on it. Depends on the terms of your warranty, I suspect. If it costs more than ~£5 to return it though, I'd be inclined to kick up a stink.
TwistedHelixis Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 Just contacted GEO and they are going to send a pre paid ticket. Wonder how many just return it without asking? 2
DavR Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 I suppose if they don't offer to pay return until people ask, they save themselves an amount on their shipping bills. Seems a bit unprofessional to not offer it upfront though. If their product has failed, then they should be footing all the bills to get the situation resolved.
