dynabook A30 battery!

We've got an ever increasing pile of dynabooks which seem to have lost the ability to charge their batteries, has anyone else seen this and know how to fix it?

 

I've checked the PSU's are the correct power, tried static reset (holding power button for 30 secs) disconnected the battery for ~1hr and tried uninstalling the battery control (Microsoft ACPI) in device manager, but the battery stays at 0%. Can't update BIOS as battery is at 0%. They're barely 1 year old so I can't believe it's actual failed batteries? Got at least 9 of them now out of a total of 40 devices!

yeah I saw that A40 one, no-one's having any luck I guess! Time for warranty returns!

Devices breaking down just outside of their 'one year warranty'?

 

Built in obsolescence is NOT a thing... much.

 

 

Maybe just cheap, quickly churned out, poor quality products to fill the need.

yeap, I got stonewalled by county until the warranty expired. Then, oops sorry. The batteries are £80 so F that. from unboxing to landfill.

 

oh and I have 8 of them. Dynabook A30
