chazzy2501 Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I'm wondering what to test now. Onenote seems as slow as it ever was I'm thinking the latency of this new connection is a hair slower than the old VDSL. (about 20ms vs 14)
chazzy2501 Posted November 9, 2021 Author Posted November 9, 2021 The new 1000mbit internet has highlighted a weakness with our wireless internet though. We have Unifi NANO HDs and laptops connect at 866Mbps (best) but at that speed can only muster 220mbps in a speed test... but it gets worse as under load the latency of the requests go from 30ms to 160ms making the bandwidth gains almost moot. tldr on Wi-Fi the speed from 80mbps to 1000mbps internet is barely noticeable.
