Epson Projector via HDMI keeps going black/won't wake up, until a sound is made on pc

Good Afternoon All,

 

Had a bit of an odd scenario going on this term and wondered if anyone had seen similar.

 

We moved a few computers around over Summer and this allowed us to connect Epson projectors to some computers via HDMI (rather than VGA), ever since this they've been receiving a randomly occurring issue where the projector only shows black screen and nothing you do (changing inputs/settings on projectors) will wake it up to show the image, "apart" from making a sound on the computer which then magically wakes the projector

 

This seems to only happen a few times in a week on random machines, so it's nothing happening everytime, and only seems to be a case when someones switched user and left the projector inactive over a break/lunch, so it's not randomly occuring in the middle of a lesson etc

 

Tried the normal with drivers/projector settings etc, but nothing seems to be resolving it currently. Yet without fail making any noise on the pc will fix it!

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated
