Unable to pick up WiFi DHCP address on default VLAN - Ruckus ???

Hi all,

 

I have a slightly odd one .....

 

I'm in the process of putting our Ruckus ZD and AP's on their own VLAN.... VLAN30.

 

The ZD has several SSID's each with their own VLAN.... VLAN 31, VLAN 32 VLAN 33 etc.

 

 

Cisco switches:

 

All AP's and the ZD are on trunk ports configured to carry each VLAN.... Tagged.

PVID for the ZD & AP ports is VLAN30.... Untagged.

 

So the config for each AP port looks like this... 1T, 30U, 31T, 32T, 33T.

 

 

Problem:

 

I am able to obtain a DHCP address and get on the network on all the VLANs except for the Default VLAN.. VLAN1.... which has a DHCP scope due to be decommissioned soon. I need this to push out a WiFi profile for the new SSIDs.

IP Helper is definitely passing DHCP requests to the DHCP server.... cabled machines on VLAN 1 picking up an IP no problem.

 

My switches are connected via LAG trunks (LACP) which are all tagged with each VLAN, except VLAN1 which is untagged.

 

Config on the LAG trunks look like this.... 1U, 30T, 31T, 32T, 33T.

 

 

 

 

Should the LAGs have VLAN 1 tagged ?... But surely this would prevent cabled machines, not just WiFi.

 

 

Bit stuck.... any suggestions ?
