Hi all,

Have a Windows 2019 server where the virtual network adapter keeps saying unidentified network.

I have come across this several times on Windows 2016 and Windows 2019 servers. To get around this I noticed others were setting up a task scheduler to run at start up which restarted the Network Location Service and this appears to solve the issue everytime. However, in this instance it hasn't.

Also, if I select diagnose on the adapter it says the adapter is not set to DHCP and then it seems to resolve the issue by removing the static ip address assigned to the adapter, but I don't want the adapter to be set to DHCP, it has to be static.

Any ideas.

Thanks all
