Google Classroom Guardian Invites

Hi all,

 

At the moment we use GAM to see the status of Guardian Invites for pupils, but the status of the guardian invitations is limited to PENDING and COMPLETE, and the invite is set to COMPLETE whether the invite is accepted, declined or the invite deleted by the teacher, is this the best/only information currently available for guardian invites?

Yes. There isn't a log for it in the Admin Console.

unlikely to be helpful to many but FYI Edulink and I think possibly Satchel One can integrate with Google Classroom. I've set Edulink to show assignments in google classroom, which is a lot nicer to browse, and allows both parents and staff to view all assignments for the specific student without staff needing to be added to all their classes on google, and lets you view past assignments to see if they were ever submitted or not. It's read-only, the student and marking teacher still needs to go to Google Classroom to do the work. I'm not sure if Edulink have publicised the feature yet, it was quite new or in pre-release testing when I called them up to set it when I saw the new settings in their homework settings tab. If you use SIMS and Google Classroom, I strongly recommend considering Edulink instead of the Classroom Guardian email method. I only mentioned Satchel One as I once saw there was some integration but I'm not sure quite how it's done.

That new EduLink feature sounds interesting. Will have to take a look.
