pete Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 As it says, our 3CX project might get kickstarted early due to a hardware failure, but I'm undecided on where to put the VM. I'd like to avoid reliance on one of our school sites if possible. What're you using, what are your rough costs (year-on-year) and would you host it the same way if you were doing it from scratch?
speakercon Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 I'm looking at this myself, and leaning towards Azure. I looked into using a reseller and them hosting it but the monthly cost was eye watering.
FN-GM Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 (edited) We have a hosted VM if the data centre of our SIP and MPLS provider. Great benefit is the SIP doesn’t go over the internet so good call quality. The server is cloud hosted but is directly connected to the network so behaves like an on premise server. We pay $2,000 (AUD) a year. Edited October 21, 2021 by FN-GM
johnlevis Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Most of our customer host 3CX on a local device/vm but some have gone with Azure. Feel free to get in touch if you want to discuss options. John 2
