PDQ Deploy and InPlace Upgrades

Good afternoon,

 

Are any schools using PDQ Deploy for their in-place Windows 10 updates? We are currently on 1909 and want to look at upgrading to a newer version. I could re-build every machine manually - but that is too time consuming.

 

So.... PDQ Deploy will be the way forward. i've tried it but it takes ages and often times out.

 

I've followed instructions on the PDQ Community Forums but again run up against time outs.

 

So has anyone managed to do it here?

On 1909+ I've been using the 20H2 and 21H1 enablement packages. Takes minutes.

I do it slightly different through PDQ. This is what I used to do 1909 to 20H2

 

I copy the source files over then "c:\WindowsUpgrade\setup.exe /auto upgrade /quiet /noreboot /DynamicUpdate disable /ShowOOBE none /Compat IgnoreWarning /Telemetry Disable /migratedrivers all" as a CMD then reboot

Hi there - everything I read tells me enablement packages will not work with 1909 and under.

Hi there. This method isn’t working for me. The install just fails after less than a minute. Am I to understand that you put that entire line in the command window and then create a second step for reboot? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
