Remote Management of HyperV Servers

I have 4 x hyperv hosts which I have always remotely managed via the local hyperv console on my workstation joined to the domain.

Today, after opening the console , i only saw 1 of the servers showing and all the virtual servers on that server which I can manage.

If i try and re-add the other 3, on all of them i get the following..

can any one help? not sure why this would have suddenly happened after the latest updates? no permissions have been changed since it was last working earlier this week.

I think we had a similar issue when when jumping from 2008 I think to 2012 server and wanted to manage the servers from a win7 box, or something of that nature anyway

 

It just didn’t like it I did try and look at trying to resolve the issue at the time but we was upgrading anyway

 

Try reinstalling your RSAT tools

 

Or this

 

 

 

Open "Window Security"

Open "App & Browser control"

Click "Exploit protection settings" at the bottom

Switch to "Program settings" tab

Locate "C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmcompute.exe" in the list and expand it

Click "Edit"

Scroll down to "Code flow guard (CFG)" and uncheck "Override system settings"

Start vmcompute from powershell as administrator net start vmcompute

Restart

Start Hyper-V Manager as administrator

VMCompute is missing from the list and if i try to add it, the path is missing.
