Linutop Kiosk/Raspberry Pi/Google Sites Cookies Pop-up conundrum

Hi all,

 

I have a conundrum I am trying to solve.

We have a Raspberry Pi running Linutop Kiosk in our reception area to greet visitors.

It displays a Google Site and has been working very well.

I have just had to re-make the page in New Google Sites as old Google sites is being 'switched off' soon.

 

Basically, when the new page loads, Google's Cookie notification pops up and wants the user to click 'Got It' to dismiss it.

Annoyingly though, in Kiosk mode I don't seem to be able to do this. If I click, all that happens is the page reloads.

I've tried right/middle clicking as well as ctrl/alt clicking and so on. Each time the page just reloads and the pop-up reappears.

 

Scratching my head to figure out a workaround which doesn't involve starting from scratch with a new Linux flavour.

 

Any ideas/experience/suggestions?

It says it's running ubuntu and firefox, can you install ublock origin extension and set it to block the cookie request?

That's an idea to try... Thanks. I might have to unplug the PI and take it home - take Smoothwall out of the equation as it is putting extra hurdles in my path!

Have a look at Yodeck for the Pi, I run that and it pulls a Google Slide or Site and displays that
