Covid test registration - bulk upload, anyway to copy/paste

I have a spreadsheet with all the kids information in it, and the spreadsheet from the Gov.uk website, but it won't let me paste from one to the other.

Why it thinks it is more accurate for me to retype what the parents have entered, I have no idea!

 

Is there anyway to paste into a protected spreadsheet?

I uploaded the sheet to Google Sheets (despite the instructions specifically saying we couldn't) and had to manually fix a lot of the data validation. We have a Google sheet connected to the consent form that we scan the barcode into, then use the =QUERY function to populate the gov sheet. At the end of the day we download it and upload it to gov.uk and it works. It's a real pain that it limits you to 100 rows per sheet. We have to upload about 5 each day.
