CRBCunninghams and ParentMail for pre-admission students

We're trying to get our pre-admission students fully linked in our payment system (ParentMail) , so parents can top up lunch money (CRBCunninghams) now. The MIS link is pulling the students from SIMS into CRBCunninghams, but it doesn't give them an ID number until they're admitted, and it is that ID number which ParentMail uses to link them. The weird thing is CRBCunninghams is set to use the person_id field from SIMS as the ID number, but it isn't pulling that for applicants, only current students, even though they have one.

 

So, we have the applicants pulled from SIMS into Cunninghams, and we have applicants pulled from SIMS into ParentMail, but they won't link until the student is admitted. This means parents only have one day to top up their kid's lunch money.

 

I've spoken to Cunninghams who say that's how it has to be, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a way around this?
