Profile Manager iOS 10

Hi All

 

I was wondering if anyone had managed to fix or overcome the iOS issue where you cannot enroll or manage iPads from the newer Mac OS versions and their equivalent versions of Server, (I think it is/was Catalina onwards) as I have a school with a whole bunch of iOS devices that cannot be managed. I know other MDMs are a solution but I was trying to just get these old devices working.

It's only either iOS 10 or a specific version of iOS 10 that I remember being affected, I had a chat with a guy from Apple as the one I was doing had a single iPad which couldn't be done (thankfully) who said it was a known bug with no known fix date.

 

The only solution at the time I could be given was to wipe out Profile Manager and roll back to an earlier version where it worked, enroll all the iPads and then update Profile Manager.

 

We gave up, kept it as a staff iPad for obvious reasons - might be worth giving Apple a call though.
