Tablets

Hi All, The school have invested in Laptops, some Winbooks, Chromebooks and have been given a bundle of Kindle 7's.

KS2 used to use the Windows laptops but they have now been passed down to KS1 and the Chromebooks will be utilised in KS2.

The Winbooks are deployed for 1-1 learning and the Kindles will be used as e-readers when setup.

 

We don't use ipad's.

The batch of learnpads that we have are now so out of date they are due to be scrapped, the Teachers didn't like using the setup platform that comes the the learnpad system so they stood unused mainly.

 

So I was thrown this question last night by email,

 

 

"Just thinking about tablets for school. What other tablets have schools used successfully? You know I love iPads but I am curious to see what else is out there"

 

Apart from Ipad, Android, Chromebooks and Winbooks that can all function as a tablet if they are a 2 in 1 design is the anything else used in schools?

The devices should be driven by the requirements from the school. What do they want to achieve on these devices?
