Norphy Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Got a bit of an odd one. I've got a series of mail enabled security groups that I created fairly recently. They're in-cloud groups created in the Exchange management console and populated in there. When you look at the group in Azure AD or in OWA, the membership of the group is correct. When you look at it in desktop Outlook, there are only two or three members shown in the group. If you send a mail to the group from Outlook, all of the members of the group get the mail so the problem is cosmetic but still annoying. At first I blamed it on an outdated offline address book cache, but even if you look at the "online" address book, the group membership still displays incorrectly. This is happening for multiple people, me included. Anyone seen this behaviour before? Cheers
Liam Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Are you nesting groups inside groups?? This is common if so.
Roberto Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 (edited) Is it consistent? E.g. if Amanda Huggenkiss and Seymour Butts are both members of group A and are missing from group A in Exchange, are they consistently missing from other DL groups? In Exchange Properties for a problem user, is the box checked for "Hide from address lists"? Edited July 6, 2021 by Roberto 1
Norphy Posted July 6, 2021 Author Posted July 6, 2021 Are you nesting groups inside groups?? This is common if so. For some, but not these specific ones. Is it consistent? In Exchange Properties for a problem user, is the box checked for "Hide from address lists"? That’s a good point, I’ll check that tomorrow
