Hello, we are reviewing how students in school can report on bullying/abuse incidents. Not sure anonymous is the answer, that feels open to false reporting. Does anyone use proven systems or procedures?

Thanks

We've used the SHARP system for years, it is anonymous if they want it to be. Yes it can lead to false positives and abuse, but after the initial spate you'd get, if you have anything like Impero or Senso you can find out who quite easily and resolve it. Word gets round easy enough.

Surely word gets around that it's not actually anonymous then. Doesn't that cause a trust issue when you have told students it is anonymous?

If you have NetSupport DNA or school- there is a report a concern button that can appear on the computers.

we trialled it, but the kids preferred to talk to us.

Catch-22 unfortunately, and a careful balancing act. If it's someone messing around with no harmful intent, it's left. If someone is really taking the biscuit, they'll be dealt with.
