ITGURU Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 Running a windows 2016 server with Mcafee - zero detections from fulls scans for long long time . Just ran the 2019 installation media to upgrade the server ran a clean install. Once upgraded and logged into the 2019 desktop, checked McAfee was ok and up to date, and saw the alert entry below with date/time i've just done the upgrade. Is it false positive alert?
ZeroHour Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 It *sounds* like a false positive, doing upgrades I tend to remove AV then upgrade and reinstall. I presume the version of McAfee is 2019 compatible? I would maybe see what you get from a sfc /scannow.
