clareq Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 I've just had reported that four or five Smartboards, running Smart Notebook 17.3 have, since friday, had an issue where the toolbar flashes and they can't type in a selected area. It's as though the board is being touched in some way, although it isn't, and it has suddenly started happening to a number of users. I've run a firmware update. It doesn't happen if I disconnect the board, so it's definitely the hardware. Any ideas?
Oaktech Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Sorry, are these actual smart boards, or interactive screens? If they're interactive screens what model are they because I've had a load of issues with the 4065 model doing something similar which ended up with them being replaced under warranty.
clareq Posted May 26, 2021 Author Posted May 26, 2021 No, definitely smartboards - SB640. I got to the bottom of it - the sensor that showed the board rubber is in the tray was dirty, and not registering the rubber correctly - looked in diagnostics and the erasor sensor was flashing. Cleaned the contacts and it's fine now. The simple things eh? 1
