iMacs running Big Sur.

At the minute we are experiencing AD login times of roughly around 1 minute 30 seconds when a user logs into the workstation for the first time. This is with the following settings;

Mobile account is created at login

Use UNC path from Active Directory to derive network home location – CHECKED

Allow authentication from any domain in the forest – CHECKED.

Forcing a timeout delay i.e sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow DSBindTimeout -int 15

Problems with this is Keychain consistently prompting user to ‘Reset to defaults’

Tested without creating a mobile account and logins hang! Doesn’t log user in.

Can anyone recommend any diagnostics to why AD logins are so slow?
