[bromcom] User permission comparison chart

Hi all,

 

I'm after a way to be able to view what permissions/access each role has to the modules in bromcom. A comparison chart would be best.

 

At the moment i'm having to either run a report on the roles and permissions (each role individually, 30 pages) or via the roles & permission setup page. Again i have to view this individually.

 

I want to compare permissions we have in SIMs vs the default ones in Bromcom. I suspect i'm going to have to create custom roles.

 

Without knowing what role has what access to each module in bromcom, i'm working blind.

You can make a basic adhoc report using Reports > Adhoc > View Reports > New > Table Report > School > Roles

 

From there you would add Role Name, Module Description, Permission Description, Access, New, Edit, Delete and Save, and then save and run the report and export it to csv (or whatever).

 

I think this would get you all the info you're after, although you'd probably need to stick it in a spreadsheet and/or power query it, to get whatever relevant format you are wanting.
