Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

 

We want to set up an IT Department wiki and our ICT CO-Ordinator wants the kids to be able to upload pictures to a page without giving them access to edit the page.

 

Is this possible, is anyone currently doing this and can recommend a product, we have tried with PBWiki but it doesn't seem to be able to do what we want.

 

We don't mind paying for a solution, for example PBWiki is £60/year (approx).

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

We use Wiki - Free Website - Wetpaint for our ICT wiki. It's free but I'm not sure how someone could upload a picture to it withouit being able to edit it!

This isn't really how a wiki works!

 

You might be better off with a script that displays the images in a folder (sure there are loads around or pretty easy to do in any number of scripting languages). Then just give the students access to the folder?

We have a copy of MediaWiki running that authenticates against an LDAP server, so pupils can use the same logins for Windows/Moodle/Wiki.
