Google Classroom - error when adding file from shared drive

Staff cant add files from our shared drives to a classroom asignment.

 

Error message - Couldn't attach file. Make sure that you have permission to share it.

 

Just checking, is the only way around this issue to enable 'migration' for Gogle Drive or is there a better way as this seems rather extreme.

I'd take a look at the settings on the Shared Drive as you can add files from Shared Drives - I do it all the time. One of the Shared Drives settings prevents sharing of files to non members. If that's enabled on the shared Drive, they won't be able to.
