It looks like we may need to source a replacement Epson R265 for our sublimation setup as the one we have has a fault with it's paper feed motor.

Thats according to the Epson service tool I found anyway.

As it's been used for subbing then it's unlikely to get repaired under the warranty.

I'd recommend ebay.. There's a few about and so long as you take your time you can get some pretty good deals, especially those where the service required has popped up to indicate the waste ink pad is full... Doddle to fix.

Ok well it appears that the panic is over.

After emailing epson with the error that I discovered they suggested that it could have something stuck in it and after the DT Tech looked closer than I had she found a piece of acrylic stuck inside.

Never trust diagnostics 100% then on this one but also they shouldn't have had the opportunity to insert a piece of acrylic like that.

Good to know... In fairness the diagnostics aren't 100% and tend to fall back on the "Get me official help" a lot :p..

Congrats on a good catch... I'll let you know what the outcome of that query was though, either way.

The diagnostic software was the epson service one by the looks of it though.

Printer does now make some strange noises and the diag still says the pf motor is faulty.

Whoops...

I'd try contacting Epson, it's a motor issue not one caused by a CIS (which I assume you're using for the dyesub) so it shouldn't be affecting any warranty.. I'll ask my contact today about those chips anyways just so's we know.
