Mrluckhurst Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 We are looking at the way we provide remote access to our SIMS server for staff isolating at home. Does anyone have any experience with a good remote desktop type solution? Thanks PS hope this is in the right area!

victory2015 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 RD Gateway with the HTML 5/Client AND MFA installed for non-school devices, VPN with MFA for school issued laptops which mfa do you use?
Ex-MGSTech Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 We have an RD gateway BUT you'd be better off deploying Always on VPN, then school owned devices will have a transparrent VPN and thiink they are connected anyway... Only issue may be staff without a laptop? But unless you have a terminal server or virtual desktops RD Gateway would only work if you have a machine on in school. How about Remote Apps which is what we have done with MFA? 1
free780 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Or use an RD Gateway with the AAD App Proxy which will force MFA but not every time as in the case of the AAD NPS extension. 1
dhicks Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Does anyone have any experience with a good remote desktop type solution? Guacamole for web-based Windows (or, actually, anything that runs RDP or VNC) remote desktop access with an authentication gateway that handles (2FA-enabled) GSuite authentication. 1
