Mysamjer Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 I would like to create a report which shows the teachers teaching year groups. For example all year 7 teachers, year 8 and so for. This is needed for parents evening and information being sent to lower school and upper school. I have looked on sims but unable to find a filter which allows this.
Mysamjer Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 Hi, No I am not after their timetable. I want a report which can pick up all teachers that teaches a year group. So if I was organising a year 7 parents evening, I can run a report which shows the teachers that teaches year 7 and the subject. As not all the teachers teaches every year group. I hope I am making sense here!
psumner1992 Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 I created something similar a few years ago in SIMS, I think I did my report based on class as the focus and then class name as our class names begin with the year group so the filter could just look for the number. Will see if I can find the exact fields next week we used.
Mysamjer Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 This is great. I will use this as a starting point and see what I come up with! And if you could send me the exact fields this would be fantastic! Thank you
psumner1992 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 We create the report based on class and include the following fields: Class Name Subject Class Teacher Then on the filter page: Class name begins with (prompt at runtime) And academic year (prompt at runtime) is set to 2020. When you run the report then, if your class names begin with the year, for example year 10, in the class name begins with field enter 10 and press ok. This will then return the results of all the teachers who are assigned to classes with class names beginning with 10 for the 2020 academic year. Hope this helps. 1
SchoolDM Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Thanks! I've been trying to do that for years! As always, easy when you know how We create the report based on class and include the following fields: Class Name Subject Class Teacher Then on the filter page: Class name begins with (prompt at runtime) And academic year (prompt at runtime) is set to 2020. When you run the report then, if your class names begin with the year, for example year 10, in the class name begins with field enter 10 and press ok. This will then return the results of all the teachers who are assigned to classes with class names beginning with 10 for the 2020 academic year. Hope this helps.
