Hi all,

Anybody using Bromcom along with Cunningham's?

I'm trying to find out if it's a seamless integration. E.g parents can top up from the parents payments section in bromcom (or students via the top up terminals). Then both of which sync to the cashless cunninghams system and the balances can be viewed with in bromcom.

I've asked the question to both Cunninghams and bromcom...... and i feel like the question is being tiptoed around.

Anybody actually using these two system who can explain how you have it set up?

thanks

When we moved to Bromcom we also moved to Biostore Fastrack, its been really good and not had an issues since install using the bromcom MCAS system for payments.

So much better than when we had Sims + Cunninghams and their awful support and poor sync software.

I would definitly recomend moving, it was all done in a day and kids re-registered at the till.

You retained the till you were using with Cunninghams?

No we bought new ones, all included in the package. The Cunningham's ones were well out of date as they charge extortionate prices to upgrade them!

New much better finger print readers as well.

does this fully tie in with MCAS ?

or do you use a payment gateway Biostore Fastrack have provided

Yes MCAS works really well for payments. We don't use 3rd parties any more for that, just the identity management and Fastrak from biostore.

Thanks for this.

Looks like we will need to change our cashless system to integrate fully..... If started a new post on this.... thanks again for your input

Does Biostore require an on prem server? We are currently with Cunninghams looking at other options.

Thanks

Yes it does. Both Fastrak and IDManager required small local installs but are pretty self contained.

We have the same issue. Cunninghams were quite straight with us that they had no plans to allow direct integration with Bromcom - they tried to sell us their ParentPay equivalent during this conversation!

They said they had no room in their roadmap until last quarter of 2021 and even then it's not guaranteed. They may change their mind - the more schools that move to Bromcom and then end up moving to a competitor cashless system because they won't integrate may not be a factor now but anecdotally more and more schools seem to be making the switch from SIMS and the Bromcom one stop shop is a big draw.

I did start to investigate other options - Iris/Biostore or whatever it is now, Civica and Liveregister all integrate with Bromcom dinner money. We are migrating other schools at the moment and my time is committed to that but this is probably something we will come back to next year.

Cunninghams have offered us their ipayment option for 2 years....... but our head wants full bromcom integration, so we are currently looking at civica.

Cunninghams have also said we weren't the only school to have connected them about this issue....but integration is not on their roadmap or timeframe.

Honestly, move away from Cunningham's if you can, the fact they won't support the integration with an MIS lots of people are moving to tells you everything about their company innovation speed.

Life has been rosy since we switched to Bromcom payments + Biostore. It just works ™.
