External access to sharepoint site

I like to create a communications site and allow external access to guests without Microsoft accounts for a week online course.

 

Ideally they would log in with their own email and password, but a one time code for access would be better.

 

Has anyone any recommendations on how they had done this before? Should I create a team site and add all the users as guests to it?

If they don't have MS accounts then the only easy option is make it public and send them the url

 

MS accounts don't mean accounts on your domain. So if you don't want public with a hidden url, just share it and then they'll have to make accounts with their email addresses

Thanks, I know that, because it’s such a short course I was trying to find a way were they don’t have to create MS accounts

Microsoft have retired the ability to have a SharePoint site that is public. One option would be to add a generic user to your 365 tenancy and give this user access to the site - then hand these credentials to external guests - make sure it's permissions/groups are set correct so that the user only has access to that site.

That's a public website, you can still make document libraries public afaik, because I did it a few weeks ago
