LeMarchand Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 https://youtu.be/CWdpBQFgdxQ Joss Whedon continues his obsession with tiny ladies who can kick bottom* in this Victorian steampunky fantasy series due on HBO Max in April, presumably soon to follow on Sky Atlantic. *Or he did before he left due to exhaustion/was kicked off over the Ray Fisher/Justice League furore. (Take your pick). 1
LeMarchand Posted April 19, 2021 Author Posted April 19, 2021 This started over a week ago in the US, but for some reason the Sky Atlantic debut isn't until the 17th of May (more than a month behind the US). Reviews have been generally poor, but I suspect that a lot of this has more to do the critics virtue signalling (given Whedon's current persona non grata status) than the quality of the show.
LeMarchand Posted December 14, 2022 Author Posted December 14, 2022 Looks like it's "Never say 'Nevers' again". HBO have given the show the chop before they air season 1.2 and rumour has it that they may not even air the episodes and are shopping it around. They are also rumoured to be removing "Westworld" and others from their platform and their owners, Warner, may well not proceed with a third "Wonder Woman" film. Can't say the cancellation is a surprise, but I did enjoy the few episodes that aired.
