DfE Chromebooks - setup guide on gov.uk

Hi,

 

We have just taken delivery of some DfE funded HP Chromebooks. I have found a guide to setting them up on the gov.uk website:

but before I start, I just wondered if it is as simple as following their guide (as I have seen a couple of threads regarding the Cisco Umbrella app and incorrect advice from DfE!) - or are there any little quirks or niggles I need to look out for?

 

We have GSuite setup and are currently using Google Classroom. These new HP Chromebooks will be for some of our pupils to use at home.

I followed their guide for Cisco Umbrella installation and it was spot on.

 

Obviously you'll need to put your own policies in place to restrict what the students can do but it doesn't really take too long to figure out.
