WONDE/Google Classroom on Personal Chromebook

We have WONDE setup here as a SSO for Google Classroom, all works great, however some parents have got personal Chromebooks for the students to use during lockdown, when they go to Google Classroom via WONDE it won't load.

 

The solution I have used in the past that worked (I think!) was to get the parent to add the students Google account manually as a second account to the device once logged in, however when they try to do this now the WONDE SSO takes over and signs them into WONDE rather than adding the Google Account.

 

I tried adding a network mask of our external IP range to the SSO setup within the third party IdP setup page in Google Admin, which kept the functionality on site and allowed the parent to add the second Google Account on the personal device, however it turned of the SSO from WONDE to Google Classroom for all the users off-site and then required them to enter their google e-mail and password to get into Classroom. I have a ticket open with WONDE about this but I am not sure there is a fix.

 

Does anyone here use WONDE and Google SSO and have a solution for getting personal Chromebooks to sign into Google Classroom without turning off the SSO?

We don't use WONDE but I believe if a pupil signs in using their school account onto the parents Chromebooks they already are signed into Classroom as the school account.

Thanks, it is WONDE that is preventing the add account, I worked round this by disabling WONDE SSO during a planned maintenance window, added the student accounts to the personal device, then re-enabled the WONDE SSO.

 

I have a ticket open with WONDE so hopefully there will be a solution to this so I don't have to disable the SSO every time we need to add an account to a personal device
