StewartKnight Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 School hols are about to begin, and since I don't work school hols, I've got 6 weeks to kill! I'm going to be bored rigid. Does anyone else have the 6 weeks off, and what part time work would you recommed to keep me sane?
ChrisH Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 We have already broken up and have 5 weeks off. I am full time and will be having the last 2 off plenty to do tbh!
russdev Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 ok work school hols but look at http://www.it4communities.org.uk/ and volunter for local charity and put your skils to use. Russ
StewartKnight Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 actually, I was looking to make earn money! I have a disabled child, so earning extra money would be a bonus, and I already do some charity work!
browolf Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 if you get 10,000 Expert Points total and 3,000 Expert Points in a month on Experts Exchange, which takes a fair amount of time, you get a free upgrade to a premium account which means you can ask unlimited questions, which is pretty handy. sign up at freelance websites such as elance online guru.com
tarquel Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Try asking a local small retailer if he could use a hand. Just be warey of helping dodgy ones tho. Dont ask for much and I'm sure you'll be able to fill up the time I dont know if you're handy with html / php (website lol) but you could have a look for local buisnesses wanting a simple, one off website Hows that for starters? Less than 16 hrs (I think) a week should give ya a bit extra and they wont bother you - even better if the retailer or guy wanting a website is a mate. You're just helping a friend who happens to give ya a bit o cash for it lol [no, i am not implying you should try and circumvent the law before anyone asks ] Cheers N
StewartKnight Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 already do one web site www.johnwildingfleet.com, but because it's for my dad, I don't get paid. Still, I could use it as an example of my work..... and if anyone is looking for a new Citroen lol
StewartKnight Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 come on Mark, you know I leave all the manual work to Philippa!!!
