FN-GM Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Hello, Around 21 days ago we upgraded most of our fleet to Windows 10 2004. This link says the Windows.Old folder should automatically delete after 10 days. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/delete-your-previous-version-of-windows-f8b26680-e083-c710-b757-7567d69dbb74 It hasn't done. Does anyone have any suggestions please? I have had a look online but everything I found is pointing at us to delete it manually in the settings app. Not ideal. Thanks
BOOT Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Something like: REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches\Previous Installations" /v "StateFlags0064" /t REG_DWORD /d 00000002 /f CLEANMGR /sagerun:64
sparkeh Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 I’ve always found this to be a bit flakey. After upgrades I used to just run a script that deleted it.
