Teams Meeting Limits

What`s the maximum amount of people allowed in a meeting? MS say it 300 but Ive just received and email from a member of staff saying they had 360 in a meeting and some users then got the "sorry the meeting is full" message.

Can anyone shed any light on what the current limit is?

(This was a meeting not a Live event)

I believe that it is currently 300 (250 for Government Teams)

MS have confirmed it is 300, they didn't know how we managed to get 360 in to a meeting. (There's a possibility that there wasn't 360 in the meeting as this was just passed on to me from a member of staff!).
