Touch Based Registration System?

Hi folks,

 

Not quite sure what forum to put this in, but I've been asked to investigate a touch based registration system. It's to be used in our Pastoral block, so when students attend there they sign in, then sign out. Pretty simple really.

 

Does such a thing exist? I'm struggling with Google because it's a bit of a vague spec.

If you already have any form of cashless catering using ID badges or biometrics, it might be worth checking with the supplier for your tills as I think most now will have an attendance function that taps into the same database.

 

To add to Fiza's list above, LiveRegister do it as well. https://www.liveregister.uk/?q=node/89 . I've only used them for catering though.

 

Or if you need it cheap and not necessarily link in with your MIS or use any form of ID like a badge or fingerprint, an iPad in kiosk mode and some form of visitor management app will probably be a lot cheaper. Or maybe they can get away with just a visitor 'sign in' book on a desk?

If it's urgent you probably need to rule out all the ones that require a physical touch for COVID, including a touch screen.
