CyBeRkId2002 Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 Hi all, Quick query as to whether Google Classroom and Meet integration has changed on iOS hardware in the past couple of days? We have been delivering live lessons for a couple of months now and had very few enquiries about access but all of a sudden we are getting lots of parents struggling to access and the common denominator seems to be iOS devices. Testing in-house I don't seem to be able to use the Meet link from within classroom (either within Safari or the app) and it just takes me to a page to download Google Meet (already have it installed). I am, however, unsure if this has always been the case or something new.
paulkerton Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 I'm guessing there are new versions of the app available on iPad OS. Google apps need to be kept very up to date when it comes to Meet and Classroom in particular!
CyBeRkId2002 Posted December 11, 2020 Author Posted December 11, 2020 Thought it could be that... but I have only just downloaded the apps today.
RLR Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 We've not had any reports of this but all our devices are managed and kept up to date via our MDM. They did release an update a few days ago: Dec 7, 2020 - 51.5.0
RLR Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 I like how as soon as I post about not seeing issues I am now getting reports of parents not being able to Join A Google Meet. We have enterprise licensing that allows us to have up to 250 participants but some parents are getting a message saying the limit is 100 and they can't join the Meet. I can see there are 113 participants at the moment on the Google Meet so I'm wondering if this might be a device issue.
