Hi

We are starting down the chromeboook path.

We got some and they are ok.

We purchased 5 of Google Chrome Education License( SKU OS-GOOGLE-CHROME-EDU).

How do I use them?

Have been all over the admin console & still cant find them. Has any one got a basic setup guide.

Thanks

Hi, as long as you have got confirmation of the licences, when you enroll them it auto applies a licence. For some reason they dont tell you how many you have on the Admin Console. You just get an email from your licence supplier and a confirmation they have been applied and thats it.

To enroll a Device you press CTRL+ALT+E once you have joined a wireless network. You should see the licence agreement change slightly and then it will ask you for enterprise enrollment. You then need to sign in with an email address that has Enrollment Permissions allocated and Once signed in it will enroll and add itself to your devices list. Thats what all of ours have done for me.

Hope it helps.

On first startup of a Chrome device, do an Enterprise enrollment by pressing CTRL-ALT-E or Enterprise Enrollment on the first login screen.

If the device has been logged in already, you'll need to powerwash it to do the enrollment.

In the admin console goto "Devices" > "Chrome" > Devices

Top right you should get the following

Click on the far right icon circled in the picture above and this will show your licences like below:

As people have said below, when you enterprise enrol a device it will automatically take a licence.

Good morning

We have two domains on google portal

I.e

Xyz.com primary domain

Xyz.co.uk secondary domain, gmail setup here.

All the chromebooks licenses are applied on xyz.com.

What happens if I make xyz.co.uk primary domain. Do I need to re-enrolled all the devices again?

I want to move licences from xyz.com to xyz.co.uk

So when we tried you get an error message. We had to get google support to remove the licences from the domain then make the other primary and then they re installed the licence on the new primary domain. But that meant they we have to re enrol devices. Unless you are not renewing the domain you could leave it as it is. Edited by willtech
