Centralized email solutions

Hi All,

 

I am just after some suggestions to a request I have been given.

The Leadership team here are looking to try and streamline the way parents contact teachers within the school. They would like an online form setting up for parents to fill in to contact teachers, which is easy to do. But they would like all the submitted forms going to a central place where teachers can then respond to them but the email will come from a generic address and parents are not able to reply to.

 

The only thing I can think of is some type of helpdesk solution or customer email management solution.

 

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestion or recommendations for me.

So for a parent wanting to contact their child's form tutor.....

 

1. Fill in the form
   
2. Form tutor fishes it out of a shared mailbox containing lots of emails not intended for them
   
3. Replies from generic address
   
4. Parent replies by filling in the form again
   
5. continue until issue resolved?
   

 

That sounds like an (appropriately school-ified) ticketing system.

 

What problem are SLT trying to solve? Not knowing if issues are dealt with / finished? Not having a complete overview of students <> parent communications? Aggressive parents?
