woz1994 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Hi, We are trying to install adobe connect on a few pc's due to some training thats happening. When we try to install via a domain user with admin rights the installer fails saying it can't connect to the internet, but if we try to install via the local admin account it install and runs fine. Once installed when we log back on to the domain user it comes up with unable to run program due to not being able to access the internet. The only thing that I can think of is that there is a policy somewhere in Group Policy that is causing this but I can't seem to find one that would be affecting this. Any help woud be great! Thanks
Boredguy Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Are you using the MSI installer version, which is what we have deployed out. Users have to then launch Adobe Connect from the start menu before they try and use the website that requires it as we do not allow exe files to run from temporary areas for users (nor can they run any from outside specific locations)
woz1994 Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Hi, it's a .exe file but we have ran other .exe files with out any issues on domain profiles, it seems to be that its just installers that require an internet connection during the install that are the issue. Thanks
Akumos Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Are you using AD security group based web filtering? Soudns like the firewall is blocking it for the AD account but not for the local user (which should have a more restricted policy than an authenticated user).
